2013 Trend alert - WHITE SHOES and where to get them now

I am seeing white shoes at every runway show and on every blogger/fashionista attending the shows.  Even during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week last year we saw white silver capped toe pumps by Wittner on a number of the runways.

During our recent campaign hero shoot for Fashion Week it was obvious what the colours of the season would be.  Black and white.  White shoes dominated the stylist's table.

White shoes, which I am sure have not been popular since my high school formal, are coming back with a vengeance.  The fresh pop of crisp white below your ankle will instantly update your look and can also help break up an all black ensemble.

Tiny dancer... The high fashion ballerina photoshoot

I recently did a photo shoot with the incredibly talented Michael Blamey of the St Kilda Today blog wearing my own design The War dress and Tony Bianco platform boots.  The idea was to make it a moody ballerina feel with soft movements and graceful poses.

I never thought I'd see the day when I say... I really like Taylor Swift's new Album RED

So I believe Taylor Swift, the younger country singer girl, has officially grown up to be somewhat....cool.  Her songs on her new album RED are super catchy and I have been listening to it on repeat since it came out!  Am I embarrassed or ashamed to be listening to something so commercial?  No.  Why?  Because it makes me happy... needless to say my windows are not down while pumping the tunes and singing along.

I am on a mission. Sounds daft but I want to loose 5kg. Doesn't everyone? So I made this crazy salad and juice combo and it was surprising delicious. And dairy and gluten free! Vegan friendly yay. I am cutting back to a vegan diet although it is tres difficult considering I love dumplings so much.

Vegan salad recipe

1 can chickpeas, drained

Cherry tomatoes

Few thin slices of Spanish onion

Green beans, halved

Parsley

Rocket

Dressing

1/2 tsp Seeded mustard

1/2 tsp Capers

4 Black olives, finely chopped

2 tsp kalamata balsamic

3 tsp olive oil

1 tsp water

Salt and pepper

Mix and shake dressing then pour over salad. I chilled overnight and it was perfect. Not soggy!

Mint

Spinach

Pineapple

Pear

Apple

Lime

Ginger

Such a tasty meal and I was full till dinner!
