Winter pieces to invest in now - Winter White

Continuing on from my previous post, the second key trend from the WGSN Trend Forecasting Seminar for Autumn Winter 2013/2014 is Winter White.

WINTER WHITE
We are seeing white everywhere.  It is a trend the High Street stores have picked up on quite quickly, however the average consumer still seems to live in fear of an all white ensemble.  As per my previous post on white shoes, white accessories are proving the easiest and fastest way to update your look.  WGSN have identified that this shade will dominate our Winter wardrobes for the next two years as fashionistas and their followers lean towards a head to toe white look.  The key with for white in Winter is to layer.  Similar to my grey post, white needs different tones and textures to break up the look.  Wools and knits are paramount to pulling off this look and they look really interesting when mixed with sporty separates and luxe outerwear.  Brands on the white band wagon include Nina Ricci, Topman, Mulberry, Maurizio Pecoraro and Thakoon.  Not to mention various fashion bloggers sporting the look head to toe out the front of said shows.

Textured Tights, how to wear the trend that comes back every winter

After recently experiencing some extremely cold nights in Melbourne City I have come to love the beauty and uniqueness of textured patterned tights. They are a cheap way of giving your outfit edge and demonstrating your own unique style.

Both images are contenders for this years next Razzamataz Girl Competition.

These puppies will be purchased STAT from topshop.com LOVE that they now ship to Australia and they are a bargain at 8 quid!
