Welcoming ELLE Australia to the fold... a new Australian fashion must read

There has been much anticipation around the launch of the Australian arm of ELLE magazine.  I personally was busting to see the online glossy's layout, content and most of all fashion!  Today's unveiling did not disappoint.  The stories are a carefully curated selection of in depth exclusives of fashion's top business women with the likes of Zimmerman and Moda Operandi at the forefront.  The fashion pages have everything from designer look books to street style photographs, segmented by country (genius).  The beauty pages cover all the favourites and feature a number of new comers which are sure to be a hit due to the coveted real estate they now own on ELLE's stunning platform.  Most surprisingly, the fitness section really drew my eye.  As an avid follower of anything #fitfam, #fitness and #cleaneating related, I was ecstatic when I read the articles on everything fitness related from 'foods to make your skin glow' to 'gym bag beauty essentials'.

Now the count down to the hard copy publication...

ELLE magazine where have you been all my life.

Polyvore... the APP!

With all my years working in fashion and technology how did I not know there was a simple to use and extremely addicted Polyvore app?  It is seriously brilliant!  As I compile my outfits and inspiration for Fashion Week (omg only three weeks away) I know I will be referring to this little bad boy for assistance!

You can download the app here!

Broken disco doll

Another photo shoot with the amazing Michael Blamey.  The brief was to look broken and create interesting, high fashion shapes with my body.  I am wearing a Rack and Ruin tshirt, my own DIY gold skirt and Tony Binaco platform boots.

Trends from Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 collections - Cherry to Berry

The WGSN conference I attended a couple of weeks back could not have been more on point.  The trends that were forecast are starting to pop up in High Street stores day after day.  Continuing on my list of key pieces to invest in now that will last you for a few years to come, the Cherry Berry trend is one of my personal favourites.

CHERRY BERRY
Similar to the white and grey trends, Cherry Berry is all about contrasting and mixing fabrics in rich and intense colours.  Bright cherry to deep berry tones graced the Marc by Marc Jacobs, Topman, Valentino, Just Cavalli, Antipodium, Burberry Prorsum, Richard James and Bread & Butter Autumn Winter runways this year as a newer and deeper version of the 2011 maroon trend.  Garments can be layered with different colour tones to create a unique and complete look.  Popular shades include rich wine reds, burgundy and claret.  A fresh take on the trend is to contrast shine and plush fabrics such as fur and patent.  This will be a key colour for knits so stock up now.
